Jérôme Pélichet (9th start) and his co-driver Eugénie Decre (4th start) will attend this 2008 Tunisia rally with their Bowler wildcat.

After having ended up on 8th position last year, they are highly motivated to improve their ranking. Be aware that this dynamic duo has the experience to achieve this goal!

Jérôme has several reasons for being again on the start line: the various types of the Tunisian landscape, the original prologue in France but most of all, the souvenirs of “great unforgettable moments”.

The story he told us is basically the synthesis of events that can happen during a Rally such as the Tunisia one. “It was 3 or 4 years ago. My just-found co-driver and I were engaged in the rally with a mechanical troubles car.”

Then came the El Borma –El Borma stage, the one to be said the most difficult of the rally, for those who dislike sand.

“I love sand. But the car was opposite… First of all, we had to drive without turbo all stage long.
Only 10km from the finish line, the car started smoking and afterwards burning.”

Then, two 60 years old men from the rally organization appeared in their little truck. “They absolutely wanted to help us by pulling our heavy car”. The car was so heavy that the truck was going backwards. “It was such a funny show. The car was burnt and stuck right there. Eugénie and I were deeply laughing.”

And as being friends of misery helps to create strong links, Jérôme and Eugénie are together in life as well as in their Bowler… since this burning moment.
