Trucks: Tomecek-Jacinto-Essers
Never had so many trucks participated in the Rallye De Tunisie. 11 at the start in Marseilles, the favourite Tomas Tomecek (Tatra) dominated the race closely followed by the MANs and the formidable Elisabete Jacinto who managed to keep Tomas on edge. Third: the Belgian Noël Essers (MAN).

EnduroCup : New Start
For production bikes only, EnduroCup was open to many. This new formula concocted by Stéphane Clair and Cyril Neveu, needing refuelling every 80 kms looks very promising and benefited the Frenchman Gilles Tixador (KTM 450), who said how pleased he was that the doors of the Rally are opening up.
